Just arrived, new fuel pin and 3200 spring in the mail- before I install this, are there any other things I should do prior to or after? Truck is 98 2500 4x4 with 92 12v and nv4500 trans. I recently added a "clicker" pump on the frame to push fuel to lift pump and added a 2820 air filter, do I need to mess with injector pump settings or leave as is and install new parts? Truck is my daily driver and I just want it to be able to "giddy-yap" when needed. Exhaust is 2 1/2 or 3 inch, however I have a 4" setup less the downpipe. Do I need to add pyro or other gauges? Does fuel system need improvements? Any advise would be greatly appreciated......thanks guys

I would start with a boost and pyro gauges to give you a baseline. Then add 3200 spring and fuel pin. Then you can make your pump adjustments for more power.

do i need to do anything to the pump or can i leave it the way it is? i dont care about puking black smoke or boiling the tires off. just want a little more push when needed. do i need to increase exhaust size also with pin and spring?
also- what type of pyro do i need and where is best place for sensor to go?

I would imagine you have a 3'' downpipe which is more than enough for the power level you are looking for. Adding the pin and spring require no pump modifications. As was stated, you should get your hands on at least a pyro before adding any fuel (which a pin will do). A pyro from any reputable maker will do. They generally read from about 150-1600 degrees. They do come in 2000 degree readings as well, but that's not really necessary and the numbers tend to be smaller on those and hard to read. I've had excellent luck with auto meter gauges and would personally recommend them. Tried the Glow Shift brand to save some $ and was not satisfied at all. Gauges first then install the new goodies and start playing with that pump!

For the fuel pin you can leave the pump as is, just insert and go. I installed one a few weeks ago, easy job.

Spring, you may need to adjust the idle afterwards and pay special attention to the throttle linkage bracket mounting, get it the same after.

Pyro-isspro works well and should be mounted in the exhaust manifold just to the rear of center at the outlet.

You may also need to adjust the star screw after the pin, mine gives a good shot of black on initial acceleration after the pin install. Anything over half throttle and there is black, but i am picky about black smoke too so you might be fine.
