Rear window latch broken/gone any good fixes??
I use the wooden dowel too, sometimes a welding robent at the end if I really want to secure it....once or twice I locked my keys in
and had to go through the rear slider to get them....getting through the factory plastic piece was childs play compared to the last time...

Talk with you neighborhood airplane mechanic- Borrow a short piece of safety wire and the twisty pliers.

I cut a notch out of the bottom of a piece of aluminum flat stock. The stock was about 3x2. Now it fits over the 2 pieces that attach to the window. Wrap it in a little electrical tape(gives it that custom look) and it fits just snug to lock the 2 sides together.
