Rear Spring Hangers
Rear Spring Hangers
The rear spring hangers on my one 93 are looking sad. I can see through parts of the one side and last night I hauled part of a 2 1/2 truck home and I was a little nervous about breaking one of them.
Aside from a dealer (which is a last resort at the current price, I could buy two sets for a ford for the price of one set.) and salavage yards which I have contacted some and they don't have anything at the moment. Is there anything else that will work in its place with little or no modifications?
I looked a kelderman air ride suppensions and I don't need to spend a $1000 on this. Worst case I'm going to have my dad fabricate a set from 3/8 plate.

If your pops can fab some up, that'd be the way to go. You can get them as beefy as you want that way. Sadly, my 1/2 ton parts truck has the exact same shackles as my w-250, so don't count out the bone yard just cause they don't have a 250 series truck.
The yard I contacted don't have anything including 1/2 trucks that have good hangers on them. I don't want any garbage. It starting to look like they're going to be fabbed up from plate and made so the road dirt and salt won't lay in them.
Wow, you eastern guys have all the luck, I sure wish we used salt on the road so my truck could rust to pieces too.....
Alright just kidding, I would go with the fabed pieces as well, if yiu wanted a bit of lit you could hang them down a bit lower and not need blocks or new springs .
