Lightbulb Rear cylinders

What are the wheel cylinders we want to have on the rear of our Dually?

I am going to do a brake job on my truck and looking at the parts I have the cylinders are Napa #36057 & #36058 1 1/8
These are the same as I have been running along with 3" shoes since I have had it.
What are the options and benefits from here?
Jim

That's about as big as you can go. There are wheel cylinders from a '95 Chevy application that are 1 3/16", but not worth the effort unless you carry a lot of weight in the bed.

Thanks Dave,
Off to the auto parts to get the drums checked and to get a new spindle nut.

From what I gather, there are a bunch of years of Chevys/GMCs that will fit, early 70s to mid/late 90s, all being of a bigger bore.

Most of the GM applications are not RIGHT/LEFT specific, but have the brake-line pointing straight out the back and can be used either side.

The bolt-pattern and backing-plate hole size should be the same.

One thing I know for a fact, a stock GM truck will out stop any other vehicle on the road, and always would.

On my Ford, with everything about the brakes being new, the most dramatic gain in braking response was acheived by replacing the rubber hoses with braided stainless; that gain was more noticable than all the rest I done together.

The 1992 C-30 that I totaled before I got my Dodge had great brakes and I sure liked the feel of the Hydra-Boost system, closest feel to an air brake system without the big truck.
