Talking Rear whell cylinders

I am going to do my rear brakes soon. Can someone tell me if i need to upgrade to the bigger rear wheel cylinder or do i have the bigger ones already.MFG date 9/99.i have a part # for a one ton rear gm cylinders but was told my truck year already has up graded ones from the factory. Tell me what you know please .thanks.

I have never heard of a factory "upgraded" wheel cylinder......to my knowledge, the GM wheel cylinder is larger than any of the factory offerings from DC...

Use the GMC cylinders if you want better stopping power than anything Dodge offers.

I went to NAPA and got the GM cyls.. Haven't replaced them yet, but they are defently bigger than the stock dodge ones

I've had mine upgraded for a couple of years now. They work great. A little vibration now and then, but I know they are working. I used to replace my front disc pads every 10K miles, not anymore!

One word of advise if you upgrade. Hang on to your coffee!
