2012 whell change what about TPMS

Hi everyone s

Just purchase a set of take off 18 inch whell for my 2012 that came with 17 inch

question is does the tpms sensors on the 2014 are working on the 2012 if not can I just put my 2012 sensor in the 18 inch whell.

Hey buddy, I doubt there are many people taking 2014 wheels and putting them on earlier years right now, especially if they have the TPMS. Best bet is to ask the dealer. A lot has changed since 2012 and I wouldn't put it past Chrysler to make it totally different. Also, as years go by, engineers refine electronics to make them more accurate and reliable. Given that all of the electronics are different, they are more than likely different too. If they are compatible, then the dealer will need to program them to the truck.

I would think you would be able to install the 2012 sensors in the new wheels, since they are installed with the valve stem if I remember correctly.

Keep us posted on what you find out or end up doing.

Just use your TPMS from your existing wheels. Make sure whoever dismounts the tires is familiar with the sensors and do not damage them. It shouldn't be a problem.
