RC restor

Looking at a RC today (hopefully), it's in rough shape but the guy is asking $700 for it. Comes with a Dodge 360 in it, manual 4x4. From the pictures on CL it doesn't look at bad, nothing a little weld and grinding can do. Stay tuned!

It's a 1984! I have a ton of 80's parts so if everything looks good I might pick it up. Where in vermont are you? I live near st albans.

Yep, it sucks that they have to use salt. The town here will throw sand down which works fine but the salt destroys all vehicles. They started to use beat juice, not sure how well that works.

I don't drive the old Dodges in the winter, just use the subaru.

I have enough parts to do a Cummins RC conversion myself...and I have been considering doing that for a winter beater.

RC was gone, I think it sat too long. The rust on the body was scales and just falling off as you touched it. The body wasn't in bad shape (fenders and the top side). The search continues. I really thought hard about it last night but what do you do in a situation, you really have nothing to weld onto. **** salt roads.

There's a MINT Black 84 Manual trans RC for sale on Ebay right now..

It's only $19,000

Sweet, but way too much money for a RC.

Did you try ramcharger central? They used to have a fair amount of them for sale in the classifieds....... I just sold mine or that would have been a super sweet one for you, Texas border patrol unit, not the first lick of rust, sold it for 2K.......

Darn you! Yep, I've been looking around. I want a project though, something to breathe life back into.

Craigslist here in Atlanta is full of rust-free ones. Unfortunately, there seem to be very few with manual transmissions .

I have one in TN. Needs quarter panel work due to the rear side window issues. Doors are shot due to PO hack job with speakers. Good hatch. Title is good. No axles though. It is currently on blocks...
