Ramcharger Tank

Where would be a good place to start looking for a Ramcharger tank?

Junkyards. Is the ramcharger tank a rear mount, between the frame rails, that we can use as 2nd tank? Id like another tank. If youre hunting a replacement, theres one in the classifieds right now.

It fits in the rear where the spare goes, yes. It's the perfect 2nd tank.

Wrecking yards are a good start. Best to get one from a mid 80's carbureted. Get all related crossmembers and hardware, it will bolt right in. If you can also get the gas door and surrounding panel to graft into your bedside to match. The one in my truck is out of a 1984 RC and holds about 34-36 gallons.

Spare now resides in bed or on ladder rack. I used a switch valve so that I could choose the tank in which the fuel was coming from.

The only kind or spare that fits in the spare tire rack is a tiny stocker anyway. I took the bracket off years ago because it was a useless rattle trap.
