Radiator Fan HELP!

I am trying to take care of the KDP problem and last night I was trying to take the radiator fan off to get to the timing gear cover and was wondering if you guys could give me some advice. First of all do I even need to take this fan off?? Secondly, if I do what direction do the threads turn and what size is the nut holding the fan on?? I have tried every size wrench I own and nothing big enough, I am going to go buy one today, but I do not know the size. Thanks in advance

If you do a search on fan clutch you'll find several threads on the topic don't recall the size as I made a wrench out of flat stock but do recall it is left hand thread so whack it clockwise.

There are 4 10mm bolts that hold the fan mount to the block. You will need a open end wrench to get the one closest to the timing cover.

Look past the pulley and you will see them. Also it will help you got the pulley undone from the shaft. No need to mess with the fan clutch nut.
