Quick EGT question

I'm looking at buying another 93 w250, and while I think it's a good deal, I have a question about how high of EGT's the thing might be running. There's no pyro in it, and it has stock everything, except the pump has been fooled with. The collar around the fuel screw is gone, as is the cap that would be over the smoke screw. There is a boost gauge, and the guy said that pulling a trailer, it will make about 28 pounds. With stock injectors, intercooler, and turbo, is it possible that the EGT's are reaching over 1300 degrees? Sorry-this may be a dumb question-I'm still pretty new to these beasts!

yes it is likely its over 1300*

i think 28psi is high for a stock injectored intercooled truck. caused by adding the fuel to her.

id put a pyro in it.

iirc Stock boost is in the 18psi-22 range with a pump not touched.

my truck was bone stock when i got it . think 18 psi empty is what it ran up the mountain pass

Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

Stock intercooled injectors are pretty small. I'm not sure they can be turned far enough up to make really dangerous heat. Yes 1300 is certainly possible with factory intake and exhaust, but with 1250 being the max safe sustained temp I dont think there's too much to worry about.

Just for future reference for anybody else out there with a similar question, I ended up buying the truck, hooking up a pyro, and I can barely get temps over 1000 pre turbo.
