Questions of the day

First whats the box behind the glove box where there was an unplugged set of wires? I plugged it back in is this a bad thing? And i think im gonna get a bigger tach and mount it on on the left side of the dash, will it hook up with the wires off my isspro tach now. Also ill have an empty gague spot, what should i put there, tranny temp, fuel pressure.... Can u put a tranny temp on a 5sp??

And that wraps up Questions of the day by Fearthedeere....

I shall now attempt to answer the questions... Please don't listen to what I say until someone seconds my comment...

The box behind the glove compartment is the RWAL control modual thinger-ma-jigger... I think that if it is malfunctioning and you plug it in then you can expect it to brake funny?

I don't see how the tachometers will pick up anything different... ISSPros have the little external boxes that actually do all of the work, right? Under which case another ISSPro tachometer wouldn't even require another little box to be installed? I don't really know on that one...

Tranny temp on manuals is kind of worthless... At least that's the impression I get since nobody ever uses them... Can't go wrong with fuel pressure, though, even if it is a rare problem on first gens. Hmm... Maybe a clock?

Well, that wraps up my anemic attempts to answer your questions of the day...

Good work, Begle.

I would call Isspro about the tach. How big a tach do you want, one of those riceboy monster tachs?

Unless you are towing heavy there's no need for a trans temp gauge. To install one you would pull a PTO cover, drill a hole in it and weld on a bung for the sender.

Fuel pressure is a good idea. You can save money on fuel filters, only change them when the pressure starts getting low. Also, as you turn up the power you will reach a point where the lift pump can't keep up. It would help you to know when that happens. Get a tapped banjo bolt from Geno's Garage to hook up the gauge.
