Sorry, Cactus, didn't mean to hack into your tread and start talking about my needs, LOL.
On your trucks air supply- have you researched at all on a powerstroke intercooler retrofit? That, along with new 3" piping to and from the IC all the way to the combustion chamber/intake plenum is the cats meow. There are a couple of how to's in the sticky. I followed the one done by ACE.
You won't regret the HB. and ridding yourself of those crappy master cylinders.

I've thought about doing the 3" I/C pipes and the PS I/C but will have to wait till I've built up more funds lol. I have read a bit on the PS swap and found that it'll drop boost PSI but it will also drop EGT's and have a more complete burn. If I do that I think I'll remove the WG on the HX. It currently maxes out at 32 PSI, which I'm happy with since I've still got the stock head bolts in.

Im thinking I also read that there was a bit of a lag when spooling up, that is if I remember currently lol. Hack my threads anytime. Any more ideas are helpful to me in the search for the 500 HP VE 12V.

Cactus, I am running the old, tried and true, best mod from back in the day of turbo mods, 16 cm exhaust housing. Yup, back in the day the switch from the lag master factory housings to the 16 woke the truck up. So, back around 2005, when I learned about modding these rigs, I called Piers Diesel and Wonder Mark(NASCARMARK) sold me this turbo, ( great guy, by the way) a Hybrid HX35 with a larger compressor wheel, coupled with the 16 housing. 35 psi boost no problem, and my EGT's before the powerstroke IC addition never went over a 1000 degrees. Great investment, and I still run this set up today.

With the PS IC addition, now my EGT's max out at around 850-900, and my freeway cruising boost has gone down, which is OK. Throttle response is quick. Do not know my HP numbers, and haven't really had any desire to ramp those numbers up. I'm just all about having something fun to drive while being easy to work on.

Save your $$, and put the PSD IC as a top of the list mod. Very worth doing.
