pump timing settings

pump timing settings

im going to be timing my friends truck tomorrow. i have the gauge, and the engine plate says 1.40mm. how far should i bump it up, does any one have info on what settings= what deg of timing.

Depends on the setup on the truck. If it's mostly stock, set it for 1.6 mm. Bigger injectors would call for more, but don't go nuts. 2 mm would be a lot of timing.

What kinda guage do you have to read in degrees? The one I have screws into the back of the pump and reads in mm.

1.6 mm would be around 17 degrees once the pump is at full RPM.
