Pump advanced? (pic inside)

We are bored in the shop today so we decided to adjust my valves. I got a little crazy with the brake cleaner and was taking a good look at my IP. Looks like the PO might have advanced it? What do you guys think.

The red arrow points at a clean, crushed portion of the gasket that is exposed.

Looks like it might be a replacement pump to me. I thought the original pumps were/are bluke and the remans are silver.

Yeah, that's not the original pump to the truck. The original pump would match the rest of the engine.
