I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 van. I'm wondering if the body could be placed on the frame of a 3500 pickup. I originally wanted to convert van as it currently sits to 4wheel drive, then later down the road do a motor swap to accommodate the 5.9cummins, but figured it would b cheaper to pick up what I want from junk yard and just switch bodies. Any thought?
My first thought is:
Vans have small and cramped engine bays and Cummins motors are big, as is the radiator and intercooler on a 2nd gen.
I see that being your biggest problem with just "dropping on" a van body over a Cummins 2nd gen.
