Problem with post?
I heard through the grapevine that someone didn't like my post on the truck I saw for sale on craigslist? This is the first time I have had time to log back on here so I really don't know for sure. If so I am sorry for them. I know not to advertise for sale items in the forum but to post an info post about something that we see is a public service as far as I am concerned. Don't we want to help other members find 1st gen trucks? We want to help with repairs so why not in finding trucks? If there was a problem, because I can not find the post anymore, then please let me know and explain why, if not then all is well I guess.
We, as the DTR, do not allow ads from craigslist, e-bay, or other like places to be posted on the forums. It violates our advertising policy, which is in our forum rules.
We also understand that finding stuff and trying to get it out to others that might be interested is usually the intent, however, we must treat everything the same, and not allow any ads.
Hope that cleared it up. Feel free to ask if I did not answer your question.

Posting a Craigslist ad on here is giving free advertising to that person.....
Where as the site's sponsors have to pay to put an ad on here, like the airdog fuel pumps banner at the top.
Absolutely no way no how no matter how nice it is, an ebay or Craigslist ad can be posted in open forum.

Ok no problem, I wasn't aware of that. From now on if I find something I will just say I have info and they can contact me by message? Would that be acceptable? I just think we need to keep these trucks on the road and into the hands of true 1st gen lovers.
No worries.
That would be the same as posting the ad, you are still advertising something that is for sale.
I truly do understand what you are saying. I too have often found trucks that I wanted to post up, but cannot. I'm not a 1st gen guy, but I understand what you're saying about saving them.

Yea I had 1 removed yesterday. It was a junkyard(94 12 valve) find that I really hate to see sold for scrap metal.I posted it for the sole purpose of helping anyone on here looking for a deal, but I understand if there are rules they must be followed by all.All that was missing was the turbo.I did get a 2nd gen intercooler for 50 bucks.Bob

You can't paste the link. You can only tell someone where to find the info you want to give them. Like you can say there is a truck for sale on cl but you cannot say here is a link to the cl ad for a truck for sale. Am I right???

here's all you gotta do (my example)
- Hey guys,
Go on South Jersey craigslist and type in "1993 Dodge Diesel" and click the one that is titled "1993 Dodge Ram Diesel Dually". You'll see an overpriced POS truck for sale that i laughed at.
I can't see how that's against the rules at all.
