OK, OK!! I ran out of steam at about 8pm last night with just the lower mount welds left to clean and paint then put it all back together. So it is definitely getting finished today. I took pics of EVERYTHING. It took all day to get the mounts just right. It comes down to literally almost precision machining. It is so tight the thing cannot move a 16th of inch in any direction and still have the grill go back on or not touch the AC condenser line.

I have come up with several general tips and guidelines allowing this to be accomplished in probably half the time it took me to figure it out. I'll post everything in great detail soon as I get time. I have a dozen things to catch up on today, including putting the truck back together, then back to work tomorrow. Here's a little teaser to hold you for now:

[QUOTE=Ace;1487085]Yes, the condenser is now in the middle. That PS IC really dwarfs the stocker. I'd guess it has at least triple the heat transfer capacity, if not more.

Um! Excuse me, isn't that going to kill your A/C condenser's capacity to cool the freon? Or am I just being paranoid?

That's going to depend on how hard you're working the truck. Just sitting in traffic or running down the highway empty I doubt it will make any difference. Pulling a fiver up the side of a mountain - the A/C will probably not work well. Under low boost the I/C isn't throwing out much heat because the air coming out of the turbo hasn't been heated much.

AC's working great. Haven't towed with it yet, not too worried about it. I think I'd rather have the intercooler up front towing in the mountains around here anyway.

You have basically three different radiators up there dissipating their heat all through the same flow path. Unless the AC is completely heat soaked and fails, at the end of the day it won't make much difference either way, because the most important one in terms of overall cooling capacity is in the back anyway.

The overall cooling capacity is actually enhanced in this configuration, due to the much larger diffusion area of the PS IC. The same amount of heat that was previously directed right into the center of the radiator by the stock IC is now more dissipated and directed further out around the edges of it. It will be interesting to see how the AC operates under load. I think it will function quite well. We'll see.

I knew that. I was just seeing if you were paying attention.
