I recently bought a 92 w250 (intercooled Diesel, of course) that was driving excellently. Then one day, the flange on the exhaust came away from the turbo while I was on the highway. The truck then started making almost no power down low. I replaced the the exhaust flange, but the truck still runs the same. If I try to give it any throttle, it blows alot of black smoke, but doesn't seem to really get moving until the rpms are way up. Any help on where to start troubleshooting would be a huge help. AFTER she is running good again I am planning on starting some mods, so any suggestions are welcome there too!

Well if your going to do modes, the first thing that you need to do is put guages in. a pyro to see how much fuel you can get away with and a boost pressure guage so you can see if your turbo is the problem with you low power(also the boost guage is a nice tool to now when your over spooling the turbo and need a waste gate to control it!)

there is a lot of thing that could cause low power like dirty air filter,fuel filter,boost intake clamps loose, sever leaky intercooler,AFC boost line leaks, missing or broken.

Go buy your self a boost guage and tell up what kink of boost you have. then there will be more data that we can point you in the right derection.
