plastic throttle rod end broke
I think that would be the right name for it...the metal rod with the 2 plastic ends that clip onto a ball on either end on the throttle control on the pump...the threaded end broke off of one of the ends and I'm having a hard time finding a new one, it's only sold as a complete assembly(rod + both ends) at the dealer and isn't exactly cheap. Anyone happen to have an extra one that needs a new loving home?
I bucked up $60 at a local Dodge dealer for the metal ended one, you could try cummins in Port Kells. If you are local my old one isn't broken just worn out a little. It once came undone when hitting some railroad tracks. I also have airbags with 90psi, overloads, timbrens and the front springs with a 1000 pound added capacity so my truck rides like a tank even by first gen standards.

I had thought of doing that if it actually broke to the point to where the rod would no longer stay screwed into it at all...mine is still useable, I just had to screw it almost all the way in to where there are still good threads, and screw the other end almost all the way out for it to still be long enough.
Personally, I'd spend the bucks to do it right. My plastic cup one failed on me while turning left in an intersection. Idling across oncoming traffic is not healthy. I gladly forked over the $$ to Dodge for all metal! I don't count the laundry fee for my britches

Cummins has a heavy duty upgrade. "Cummins part# 4089076. This includes the rod, the 2 nuts, 2 steel ends and the new ball that the one snaps on. Price was $21.82. " Taken from the sticky. Jethrro
