To me they look right at home on a dually truck. Now I'll be polite and hold my remarks about how and why I dislike them on a SRW truck.

Alright Guys, Nice pic's but does any one have pic's of a 2 wd dually first gen with flatbed? I have an 85 crew and i just picked up a dually with 3:54 and posi rear axle sitting in the bed of my truck as i write this. I am debating the flat bed or keeping my current 6 ft. sweptline bed. I am currently searching for fenders. What i can't decide is flatbed or keeping the short bed which would be a unique set up for a crew cab and would look pretty cool i think. If i go flat i would like to find an aluminum 6 - 7 ft. long flat bed with tool boxes mounted under neath or dual 30 gal. fuel tanks. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK???

Here's mine. Flatbed was on it when I got it, and it is homemade. 7x9 feet. the underbed boxes are a drag, because the hinges are constantly rusting up and they don't stay dry inside, so I almost never use them.

Sometimes I wish I had a regular bed with a canopy for camping and whatnot, but I've thought about just building a camper thing that would just bolt to the flatbed.

Those of you w/ aluminum flatbeds, how durable are they? Do the tie down points get beat up/bent when used a lot?

I really like my alu flatbed. It is very durable and doesn't rust. I built it when the truck was new 17 years ago. wow time flies. Mine is heavy duty so nothing gets bent.

the overloads? helwig's , 4 leaf. I went this this kind because of the air ride, my ride height is not allways the same and didn't want the stock style overloads hitting the pads all the time. Im sure they work, but I got them on AFTER firewood season, so im not sure how much they do.
