A filter minder in on my to-do list. It appears you just threaded the pipe for it? If so, you just settled an argument I was having with myself.

I have a nice brushed aluminum computer case that I am going to hack up to make mine. Just too busy and slightly lazy.

Very cool Jaybird!! What did you use to make that?

I would say a big soup pot...but the screw holes, and raised boss on the bottom makes me think maybe a pot for deep frying a turkey?

Yes you are right was out of a turkey fryer. I had it laying around house never used it. Thought will that work and the filter fit right in it. Had to cut end out for the filter and then cut hole where the outside air tube sits against it.It Work out good. Thanks

Here are some pics of mine. Didn't build a box or a soup pot
filter holder yet. Just got it in last night after i ripped off the
hood latch handle. LOL Got a new from dealership on its way.

I was told today to look into the
Pro Dry S Air Filter. You keep your
stock air box which is really the best application for the truck.

Here's mine built from plywood. I made a template out of cardboard first (still have it somewhere) so it is a tight fit and opened up the 2" hole behind the bumper to a 2" X6" hole so it's always sucking in cold outside air rather than hot engine bay air.
