I dont think so. There was a similiar post months ago, and someone said Cummins was best available.

factory crank and rods can take alot of abuse, not necessarily truck crank and rods but 5.9 cummins crank and rods, try arias or ross pistons for custom cut pistons.

www.scheiddiesel.com for Arias pistons. On the crank, most guys may have them cleaned/polished and lighten up, but not replace them if it's not necessary.

Just what kind of performance r u looking for in "Performance" pistons?? lol, I could send u to 3 other sites for days of reading and research.

Stock Cummins pistons are fine, just get the tops ceramic coated, and the skirts teflon coated.
Unless your looking for lower compression.

Cummins makes a marine piston with a ratio of ~15.3:1. Get enough air to go with it though, or you'll suck the fuel and run high EGTs. Even lowering mine half a point raised my EGT more than I wanted. But, I think when I get a good high flowing turbo on there, it should take up the slack.

Certainly don't want lower C/R, just a lighter, sturdier forged piston..

I would like to lighten the reciprocating assembly a bit by using forged pistons with exotic coatings, lightening the crank by knife edging the throws, blue printing the rods after shot peening and resizing the rods, align honing the mains, balancing the assembly, blueprinting and squaring the deck, fire ring, etc. I also want to see if I can get mechanical roller lifters to work so I can use steeper attack angles on the cam. I of course will clay the heads to make sure the valves don't hit the pistons... I also would like to hog out the intake and exhaust ports, then make a bundle of snakes tuned exhaust header out of thick pipe and have it ceramic coated.

Anyone have a big bag of cash I could sort of have?
