over charging
over charging
hey guys, i just installed my motor from my 93 into my 90 after a rebuild and i got everything hooked up and my volt guage is pinned at 18 when on the throttle and when i let off it returns to normal. my batterys are sizzling and this thing is charging hard, what is causing my issue?
Yes, i believe the 92 and 93 are pcm regulated, but if he kept all the 90 wiring it should'nt matter. My 91 was overcharging, replaced 2 regulators until i found corrosion in the 3 small wires going to the positive terminal on my battery. Fixed those wires and all has been good since then. But mine was overcharging at idle and all the the way up the rpm range.
