opinion needed

this is more of a what its worth. the truck in my photos. has 237k all new u-joints, i have been doing a little tlc here and there. i am picky about my trucks and keep them clean. its a 4x4 cc auto. 3.54 gears. any opinions are helpful.
my other question is how much do you really think i need the 4x4. i rarely use it but i love the look it gives them vs a 2wd. and plus for me right now its just another axle to worry about and x-case.

i have my eye on a 93 2wd dually le cc. not sure if its auto or 5spd but its clean! if the badge is right it was overhauled by western hauler so the interior will be nice
what do ya'll think about the switch. the truck looks just liek freight trains and just as clean.
thanks for the help!!!

You need to find out if its 5 speed or auto.

that changes alot. 5 speeds are more fun IMO and you don't have to worry about an uneficient torque converter robbing your power.

Do you need a dually?

imo i love duallys, i don't always need one but love the way that they look. also i don't have a real use for a 4x4 but again they look cool. if it were me though, id get rid of the 4x4 for a dually especially if it is a 5speed and the interior was done by western hauler, they normally have really nice conversions. but hey thats just my .02

I hate 2wd. I always get somewhere once and a while where I need 4wd. It never fails. A 2 wheel peel will get stuck on wet grass. The front axle is also better then the 2wd suspension. On my 89 I usually never need 4wd but its nice to know its there if I need it.

Some aftermarket ball joints and tie rod ends are junk and do not last very long. None seem to last as long as the factory units.
