Online Buildsheet?

Is there a web site that can give out a buildsheet using the VIN?

I'm wanting to see what the rear gearing is on my truck. The tag is missing.

Thanks!

There is a tag on the left side of the differential cover. It is probably covered in crap. There is also a sticker under the hood.

You can also call the dealer and give them your vin

You can jack up the rear, mark the driveshaft and a tire if it has a LS differential and count the number of times the driveshaft turns to one full turn of the rear tires. If it's about 3 and a half times you have a 3.54, if it's just a tick over 4 turns then you have a 4.10.

Good luck with that, it's probably too old to get any info on it.

I just do the jack up the rear axle spin the tires and count the drive shaft to tire rotation, like Angry Jonny mentioned.

It take less time than getting the clown on the end of the phone at the dealership to even understand your question.
