Oil Pressure

I have a little question, when I start my truck the oil can light is on because there is no oil pressure yet, I umderstand that. So the truck continues to idle and just when I start to gain pressure the trucks idle seems to kick down a bit for a second or so and then it kicks back up to a normal idle. From the looks of it it's like the truck bogs down to gain pressure, but then it kicks back to normal before I have full pressure at idle. When I'm driving, parked and everywhere inbetween the oil pressure is just dandy. Anyone have an explaination for the kick down of my motor when I initially start it?

Could be the grid heater but I think it is still too warm for those just yet. Watch the voltmeter and see if is moves when the idle goes down.

I'd say X3 or whatever. Sounds just like a grid heater cycle to me. As long as you don't see a drop in oil pressure (enough to trip the light) during operation, don't worry about it.
