Oil leak

So I started my truck this morning came back outside and there was at least 2 quarts of oil on the ground . It appears to be coming from the oil filter o-ring but I haven't done an oil change recently checked the filter and it is tight. I found a similar thread on the pressure valve located on the top of the housing and im just wondering before sitting in 12 degree weather is this a common problem?

I removed the filter and the o-ring is fine so I assume it is the valve???

I haven't heard of anybody having trouble in that area. Clean it up good and start it again to see more clearly where the oil is coming from. There is a seal under the pressure regulator cover.
