Oil filter housing

My turbo return line is stripped going into the housing!😬 What years will fit 1991.5? I need a new housing....wonder if any year will fit the 5.9

Is there a reason you can't remove it, and stick a helicoil in there? Lot cheaper than a new one. Or call Cummins, give them your engine code, and see what less expensive. Repair or replace.

If your oil line in the filter housing is striped you are working with your pressure line not the return. It's just an alluminum housing it could be removed and retapped if needed. I know the later ones are an oring fitting but am thinking yours may be a pipe thread in your housing.

You would need new gaskets if you end up pulling it off. I would have a used one in the shop also if you weren't able to repair it.

All 89-98 12v engines share the same oil filter head. I happen to have one I'm trying to sell if you're interested.
