? for those that have tapped into the oil filter housing

I bought a mechanical oil pressure gauge for the cubby hole. I'm going
to tap into the oil filter housing where the plug is. My question is, since
I'll be coming from the passenger side and the cubby hole is in the middle of
the dash, where did you go through the firewall on the passenger side. I'll
be using a 6' steel braided line for the install. I hope I don't have to go all the
way over to the rubber gasket on the drivers side

oil pressure

How about an electrical one? then just wires. The floor around the 4x4 shift is a good spot to come up with a Mires hub which is water tight. just run 3/4 flex from the cab and all is well. I did.

I used plain jane boost tubing. I *think* I used a 10' kit. Inside flex around front of engine, to rear of engine driverside, past master cylinder, through rubber gromet. Do you really wanna drill a new hole in the firewall? I've not had any issues with plastic boost/oil pressure tubing for 2 years. I suggest just buying a 10'-12' kit and run it through the gromet on d-side.

I have the 10' of boost tubing , but wanted to go with the steel braided line.
I guess I can go with the tubing if there isn't a alternative.

Dido, except I ran the tube thru a long piece of vacuum hoe to help protect against rubbing damage.

Big drawback to braided line is that it will saw though anything it touches due to engine vibration.
The method firestorm used is excellent, cheaper, easier to route and very reliable.
