Odd Find
I stopped tonight to inquire about a 1982 D350 SRW CrewCab that has been sitting in front of a house for over 2 years now. Its in so-so condition, and good enough for me. I have seen them in DRW trucks, but not a SRW version.
But after purchasing a 1978 DRW truck for parts, so I can change that.
Hopefully he calls me back

It just so happens that a guy was in the shop, a couple of days ago, that had a crew-cab, gas-burner, 4-speed, dually, with those killer wheels.
It was an early 80's model, about as rough as one would expect it to be.
He asked me $1500; I am sure less will buy it.
I wish someone would buy it, so I won't.

there was a cherry low miles '85 dually crewcab LONGBED 2x4 gasser 360 4sp for 1800, totaling about 2200 OTD at a used dealer near me... I passed but if someone was looking for a good crew it may be worth it.

There are several older gas Dodges around here with the Cummins swap.
All I have talked to said that all the holes were already there and if you had the entire donor truck, it was pretty much a bolt-in.
I haven't done it myself, just going by what I have heard.

I am glad you got that straightened out.
I was thinking maybe "The Standard Railroad of The World", the Pennsylvania.
Or maybe the post-merger Penn Central.

The swap is fairly simple but not a direct fit into the older trucks (pre 89ish)
Things that need changing are trans crossmember and frame hole (8) location (maybe Getrag only thing), also a Getrag thing move the bulkhead conector to the left one inch to allow for the clutch master cyclinder and engine harness holes that need to be added.
I recomend buying a complete Diesel truck for parts. If you get one w/intercooler you can swap out the core support for a cleaner install of cooler plus all the other little parts that make the swap eisier and more complete then trying to piece it together.
I think total swap time was around 50 hrs including replacement or dash and firewall mods. Idid not change the front springs though due to haveing just put new 10000 lb springs in the year before. Any other q's let me know.

There is also the option to "clip" the firewall unit by removing the one from the diesel doner by cutting at the windshield posts and straight across the floor just ahead of the seat bolts. Then transplant it onto the crew cab body. There is a 93 one ton 4WD Cummins dually here in my neighborhood and that was how it was done.
