o-ring head?? Specs/materials

I was wondering if any of you guys new the specs on o-ringing a head? Like the diameter of the ring, depth/width and what is used for the ring. Im thinking of having my Grandpa's Machine shop do it. Never done it, but my uncles are the **** when it comes to machining. I would rather give them the money, Also, can u use a stadard marine head gsk?

I had my head done by PowerParts Engineering, so I don't know all the specs. But I know they used .042" wire. Fire rings take a special gasket, but o rings don't. I'm using a .020 over marine gasket with my o rings.

I just posted an answer to this same question about a week ago.

I use the stock gasket or a thick one depending on what I'm doing. They shouldn't have any problem doing it. I've done 3 of my own, take me almost 2 hours from start to finish.

You can also use an iske tool to put the groove in the top of the cyllinder wall. Doesn't seem as common though.
