O/D (yes again)

So mine is acting up again. the odd thing is it is only going in and out of OD when the motor isnt up to temp yet. once its fully warmed up it goes into OD and stays in. Is there some sort of other connection i am missing. I am going to redialectic grease everything and see whats up again..

thanks!

The PCM is supposed to lock out OD until the coolant temp is over 60 degrees. Maybe a flaky coolant sensor, check that connection first.

try a 5k ohm resistor in place of the trans temp sensor and see what happens. I know on my truck it won`t hit 4th till it`s been running for a couple of minutes.

The sensor I`m talking about is on the trans cooler line underneath the truck.

Chris, the switch in the trans cooler line is there to drop the trans out of OD if the fluid temp gets over 275. I'm not sure why they bothered, at 275 it's too late. 240 would have been a better temp for that switch.
