Nv 5600
Yup, CHECK THE STICKIE!
5600 would be cool been thinking about an upgrade myself, most folks around swear by the GETRAG though.

its alot more shifting that you think. yesterday i jumped in one of our older farm pickups with a fourspeed and a electric shift od. kept looking for fifth. dad has a dmax with a six speed stick. had it out on the ground for a new clutch a while back.
The 4500 is a easyer and much less $$$$ swap and is easyer to get parts for and work on. If you have ever worked on a 5600 and paid for part you wouldn't want one. The little better gear splits are not worth it to me. It reguires changing the flywheel housing, starter, flwheel, clutch and a new line to reach the slave. To put a 4500 in you just get a advanced adapter bell, cut 3/4" off the input bearing retainer, and the remove the seal on the out put of the trans, move the shifter hole 6" back and every thing will bolt right up and your drive sharts will even fit. The bell uses all your stock parts and is only about $350. the bell and trans are your only $$$.
