Next step, low $$, feel dumb!!

First we start with the basics (incase sig don't work).
1991.5, intercooled W-250. Pump "tweaked" ... AFC at max, starwheel down a touch, fuel screw in a bit....... not sure cause I used brake cleaner to clear the crap after I removed the screw to clear the collar and clean up the threads (1st mistake... I know)..... idle adjusted back to stock.
I do have guages, so cut me some slack!!!!
O.K.... here we go>>> I now have a 5" dual mitre cut stack system going on. Sound is BAAAADDD edit. BHAF plus a custom made intake (4" exhaust pipe and 45* Mack truck elbows). It flows and whistles great...
WOT runs up the biggest interstate hill around here show about 1050-1100 at the manifold, so these seem low. Is it possible that I didnt put the full fuel screw in far enough, or does my truck just run that cool?
I pulled the pyro probe today and the lower 3/4" is soot covered, so I know it is in far enough. So my next ? is, (and I am broke... so best bang for the buck is a HUGE factor)... drop from my factory 21cm turbo to a 16cm????
Go to 185 injectors??
PODS???? ($3.15/gallon)
Or take my full fuel screw in a bit more????????????
I hate the late spool-up that the 21cm gives me, but I can live with it if there is a better option like the fuel screw.
Thanks for all the help, and sorry for the long post.
Jeff....

Could put on a 12cm housing. I have one on my 93 (with stock injectors) after having an 18 and it's insane. Spools super quick and sounds good too, you can hear the turbo whistle at idle. I think the 12 is GREAT for trucks with stock injectors. I sent you a PM.

Are you sure it is a 21? I was told they only put that pos on auto tranny trucks. Unless you changed trannys it should be an 18.5 cm. But a wastegated 12cm would be a lot quicker.

A smaller exhaust housing will make a HUGE difference in how the truck drives. You need a smaller exhaust housing to keep EGT down if you do injectors anyway, it won't be money wasted.

Also do the 3200 RPM spring. That's a big bang for the buck.

Mine had the 21cm w/Getrag. 16cm and 366 spring made it into a whole new truck. Haven't even touched the fuel screw yet. Lookin' forward to that!
