This maybe a bad idea or maybe not. A friend of mine just swapped out an NV4500 2wd for a 2wd NV5600, said he'd sell me everything (trans, bell, engine plate, clutch/pp/throw out bearing w 2K miles, and whatever else he had) for $750. What I'm thinking is, stuff in the NV and run a divorced transfer case. I have the t-case, x-member, linkage and jack shaft. This stuff is out of a '73 1 ton Dodge. The jack shaft will probably have to re-made for the NV, but the one I have I figured would be a good pattern. I haven't heard of anyone doing this but if anyone has or know of a reason not to please let me know before I do something BAD!

I can't think of a reason not to. Deal with the 5th gear nut issue before you put the trans in though.

Thanks, the nut already gave my buddy some crap awhile back. So he dealt with that issue when he put the new clutch kit in. I'm leaning towards this option more than anything at this point.
