I am beyond jealous! Where did you find that? It looks like they quit driving it yrs ago and parked it in a garage. That what happened? Well, good find and definately keep us posted w/ pics. What kinda plans you got for it?
Well the truck was an Air force truck.. the speedo says 37,000 miles.. and after looking at this truck I would not doubt it.. even if it is 137,000 it still is cleaner then any other old truck I have ever seen
this truck is a 1985
but yes the truck did sit for a while..with no engine/transfercase/tranny, etc..
the guy I bought it from was going to do a diesel swap but lost interest

We had an old 87' K5 Blazer diesel in the Navy as a security vehicle down in Jax,FL. In nearly 20 years service it only had 28k miles on it, but tons of hours idling. I used it every day for 2 years and it was only shut down to add fuel or change the oil. I also beat the crap out of it mudding on the peremiter road and it still ran great. It had one of the coldest A/C's and the most comfortable seats I've ever seen. Not much power to speak of though.

Sweet
That is a nice, nice, nice, nice rig...............did you say there is no drivetrain???
Not that it matters but what was the sellin/buying price?
Call it envy or jealousy..............I'm somewhat both.
Again, nice rig.

as for pirce I got it for less then $4K.. some people may think I am crazy..
but lets clarify a little so you can understand why I was willing..
since I have 2 other trucks to get parts off of.. I can part out a lot of stuff later on to make money back..plus truck came with a brand new 6" skyjacker lift that I already sold..
so getting a PERFECT condition truck and being able to sell other trucks off and not having a car payment.. PRICELESS
Nice
Ken.......................that is a fair price. I bought one similiar out of NC for 3500.00 and it required a couple of patches in the front floor area. The dash on mine is not as nice and I had to find some new seats for it.
For what you paid and what you got, I think it was a sweet deal.
I already have my donor rig, so hopefully (fingers crossed) the weather will warm up soon enough and we can begin tearing them both down and have something togther by the end of May!!!
Good luck and keep us posted...

It was stock A/C on the old 6.2L Diesel, all the militay trucks I've seen have A/C, even when I was stationed in Maine. You must have been Army, they get the junk usualy, not to pick.
