Well i finally got the truck i have been after for awhile. 98 QC SB 5 speed 4x4. The truck was a one owner with 160000 highway miles. Its a florida truck so there is no rust, vary clean. i know i know its not a first gen.

Now i just have to do a few small things to the 92 and sell her. cant afford to have booth.

Sorry to see the 1st gen go, but at least you snagged the holy grail of 12v trucks--hope it treats you well.

You'll like that truck a lot. Make sure you take care of the KDP and the 5th gear nut. And put a DSS on it before the steering box wears out.

I got the 98 for $11k.

I already like the truck a lot and plan on getting the kdp fixed asap. The 5th gear nut will have to wait till i pull the tranny to put in a new clutch. What is DSS? O and i now know why the first mod should be a 3k or 4k gsk.

Keep all discussion of selling/buying the '92 in the classifieds or the PM system.

Yeah, the GSK's really wake 'em up. A lot less nervous factor involved in the install than on a 1st gen IMO.

Before you spend the money on a GSK, do a little poking around for info on the poorboy GSK - you just add a couple flat washers and it acts like a 3k kit on most of the pumps. I did it to a kid's truck and it worked great.
