Question new member lookn at diesel

hi, new member here.
Im lookn at my first diesel here, its a one owner 1998 extended canb 2wd diesel dually
Whats good about it is owner bought it new, and hes very finicky, as in he had truck repainted, no rust ever, had trans rebuilt last yr too.
Has goose neck and yes hitch. its a automatic too. Also bought 6 new tires last yr.
Inside is excellent and takn care off, Heres what I know nothing about < the originial engine (5.9 with 330 thousand miles on it.) Owner changes oil/filter on it every 3,000 miles on it.
and uses it to pull gooseneck trailer .
Will know more about it when I go look at it soon, just seen pics.Wondering if this mileage is something to worry about ? And Oh, Im gonna pull my 28 ft enclosed trailer to track .
thanks for thoughts
Randy

Whenever talking about '98 Cummins trucks.
The first thing I want to know is it a 12V or a 24V?...
BIG difference in those motors coming from guy who likes to work on his trucks.

Hi there,
Sorry, slow gettn back, but for got to mention in 1st post, its a early 98 , and a 12 v, did some lookn and sounds like a late model born was a 24v ? Any how thoughts on this 98 with 12v ? sounds like owner is a neat freak, totally up on maintance , and was originally bought in Texas buy his daughter, in which was used to pull a goose neck horse trailer by her,
And hes a senior now like me lol, and into atv's and pulls atv trailer and a camper. reason for selling per daughter he bought a new dodge dually .
thanks for thoughts

By your descriptions I would not have any issue owning that truck....330 thousand miles is really nothing.

I just prefer working on and have better faith in long road trips with the 12Vs, myself, so the fact that it is an early '98.0 is a great point, from my point of view.
330,xxx miles on a well taken care of rig is nothing I would worry about. I am assuming it is totally stock and doesn't have performance fuel plates and such?

My wrenching life got much easier after switching to diesels - mechanical ones anyway.
