new guy oil pressure question

well ive been reading this forum for some time and have gathered plenty of info, and for that i thank u..

so today i finished putting in my 366 spring and denny t pin, i went out and test drove it and now when i randomly come to a stop i lose all oil pressure on the stock gauge and the idiot light comes on... it seems like its running fine, and when i start driving again it goes back to normal...
so wat say u? think its the sensor taking a poop or an oil pump going?

thanks so much for the help in advance

Cheesy factory gauge/sender most likely. Put a real gauge on it and see what happens.

Your idle may be set lower then before causing the oil pressure to get low enough to snap the light on.

My 93 Crown Vic does that when it needs oil.

Did you check the oil level?

Check the connection for the oil sender they get a little corrosion and then they go nuts sometimes. The stock oil pump is way more reliable than that crappy gauge and sender. Also make sure it is full of oil!!!

Bad sender is my guess. My truck did the exact same thing when my sender went bad. Replaced the sender and was on my way with a working oil pressure gauge.
