New addition, LOTS of questions
Hello All,
I just bought a 91.5 5spd, with some mods. The guy i bought it from didnt seem to know much about the truck, but i got it at a great price! Now for the questions...
It has a leak on number 1 injector, right where the line goes in. what needs done to take care of this?
Driving it home today, i was playin with it a little, and noticed it will build around 30 PSI of boost, which i believe to be a little high for a H1C!
it will smoke on takeoff but definately clears up with a little air, and dont haze at idle, which is all fine with me. just wish i could find out a little more about its history, and what all has been done to the motor.
Thanks,
Wheelo

30psi is a little high (a little out of it's map range) for the h1c but it won't hurt it any and I wouldn't worry about it unless your EGTs are too high.
As for the leak on the #1 injector. I'd make sure the nut holding the injector line on is good and tight. Don't over tighten it though.

got in a little late tonight,(typical life of a power lineman ) didnt get to investigate much, but i did try to torque the line, and it was already tight. is it a flared fitting or like a compression type? The odd thing is, even with the leak, it dont miss.
Thanks,
