New ac condenser

Today i got my new ac condenser and it leaks brand new out of the box

humm... that makes me want to replace mine even more!!! what did they hit you for? and i bet it isn't under warranty because its been installed?!?!?!???

that sucks, is it an aftermarket cheapo or did you have it made up or repaired or what?

It is an aftermarket one it leaks from a bad solder joint and from somewhere behind the mounting bracket where i cannot see when it is installed.

I still enjoy my opera windows and side vent... except in philadelphia or NJ traffic.... Hope you can get another and that fixes your problems.

Bill, Let me know when you need the go juice for your AC. Can put a vacuum pump on it and let it run, then leak check. And charge it up. You could charge with some nitrogen to check for leaks also. Send me a PM if you want some help.

I will probably take you up on that offer. I am sopposed to get the new one on monday. I was just trying to get it going myself that way I had it fixed and fixed right now lol. We can see how far that got me.

I was charging with r134 not r12.
