Need to see if tires fit wheels properly
I bought a set of 17x10 wheels and just bought a new set of tires 265/75/17 will these tires fit and look right or will they be streched out to fit the rim?

I think a 7 - 8" rim would be alot better. It would probably work with a 10", but it's not recommended, and I'm not sure how tire wear will be. Obviously, airing down for traction on soft terrain would be completely out of the question.

Best bet is to ck the tire mfr. specs. I`m running 305/70 16 Firestone and they spec out a (IIRC) 7-9 inch rim...I`m running 10`s and they look fine. A 265 might be stretching it a bit.

How are you measuring these wheels ??
If you are measuring outside to outside, then they are actually 8-inch wheels.
