Need new exhaust in Canada
My 4" flex exhaust has given out so I think its time to put a real system in.
I'm having a hard time finding a system for our older trucks. None of the local shops stock them and the only system I can find on-line is a 3.5". Anyone know of any in Canada that can be mail ordered? I'm getting to the point that I may just buy some 4" pipe and a muffler and build my own, just not sure how to handle over the axle. I want it out the back behind the wheels.

I was about to hassle you about stacks
, but I see a slide in camper in your gallery, so I guees that's out
. Rip's 4'' is the only system I can think of right now. Not sure about Canadian shipping and all that. www.sourceautomotive.biz

Ya stacks and camper don't go so well together.
Thanks for the tip about Rips. Checked ito ut and $455 is a bit steep by the time it gets converted and shipped here I'd probably be pushing $700-$800(CDN). I was quoted about that much for a custom install locally.
Hmm maybe I should make up a system back to the axle and then get a custom hoop made to go over the rear axle.
Has anybody adapted a '94+ system?

I have the 94+ part over the axle and it fits but its tight going around the shock and by the spare tire, and it kind of points up at the exit.
There's also this place but still kind of pricey

92Diesel and I got a 2nd gen tailpipe onto his truck, it wasn't too hard. The only real special part about 1st gen exhaust is the zig-zag nonsense from the turbo past the transfer case. If that's all still OK, you can cobble up the rest from a 2nd gen system.
Hi Clay; I built my own go to large truck parts store,I went to western star dealer there you can get 4" 90 degree elbows put 2 together you can angle to suit same at the other side of axle[the bottom one can be angle to side for exit tailpipe] and piece of pipe between to go around axle they also have 4" to 3.5" adators and 3.5 " to 3 " adt so you can go with stock downpipe.[and the nice clamps unless you weld ]buy lenght of pipe and use cutoff disc in angle grinder[wrap a piece of tape around pipe first to use as cutting guide] spare tire is a pita i mounted mine on the front. if you need muffer.... magna flow 50 oval ... 4 .25" high 18 inches long 4" inlet ,4" outlet $170 .00 hope this helps . I had a one of a kind 4" mandrel system made up by Mack Industrial exhaust and it cost about what you figured the Rip system would be in CDN $$.
The tough part is getting down past the firewall/cowling and past the auto dipstick tube (if so equipped) and then past the frame rail just above were it starts to turn back toward the crossmember, then, the crossmember clearance is the last big obstacle for us 4X4 guys.
Mine came in at about $800.00 CDN. It also will require an adapter to connect to the 4" exhuast and the turbo outlet too.
In the end, it is worth the time and $$$ though....I like mine.

I had that for a while and it was cool when around town and empty but if your going to tow trailers the drone down the highway sucks and you can forget about having any windows open.
