WH1C or a HX35, could be either. I'd be guessing on the exhaust housing size so I won't.

A FL70 is were I got my HX35-14cm, but I have also seen them with WH1C's but have never seen one with a 12cm housing. Not saying thay don't use them but I have worked on a lot of them and they all had 14cm or 16cm. At that HP I bet it has a 14cm thats the HP mine came off of. I got the 5.9 and the HX for free. I love workin at a semi wrecking yard in my spare time for a friend.

My neighbor has a 1997 FL built as a mobile slaughter truck. It is rated at 175 hp and has a HX35.

Just out of curiosity, are you calling that housing a 14cm housing because it says '14' on the outside of the housing?

I too love my local semi wrecking yards! It's my monthly therapy.

thanks guys, it was a WH1C, we got it off, and he took it to a diesel shop and just bought a whole new setup. I didn't even think to check the exhaust housing size once I got it off, after trying to get that friggin back nut off that mounts the turbo to the manifold, i didn't care what size it was..

No bgilbert it is cast into the inside of the housing. P.S. The WH1C is just as good as the HX35, they both have a 56mm compressor the housing just connects to the center section in a different way. And yes it is like therapy, I use to be up there almost every day for about 9 months while my friend that worked there and I built him a Intermatinal 4900 4door 6x6 from the ground up with a 8.3 Cummins and a 13spd Fuller and to many other parts to list. We had the keys to the place and could have almost any thing we wanted for little or no $$$$. Those were the good ol days.
