Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

I'm ordering an ATS 3 piece manifold tomorrow and I can get the gaskets for an extra $36 (6 head to manifold and manifold to turbo). Is that a good price or should I get them elsewhere? They're genuine cummins gaskets too. Thanks
Dan

I've never ordered Cummins exhaust gaskets. Compared to the cost of similar OEM parts for farm tractors that sounds like a great price. I just paid C$70 (~US$60!) for one exhaust gasket and two manifold gaskets for an MF.

Most of the time you can reuse the old ones.

I'll keep that in mind Geico. I'd like to have a new set here just in case I need them though. Has no one ever bought new gaskets??

What Geico said was correct. On mine the gaskets are steel and the originals probably have a raised ridge stamped into them which gets crushed. If you put the gasket back in the same position you won't have any problem with it leaking. I reused both the manifold/turbo and the turbo/wastegate gaskets on mine and it has been working fine for about 1-1/2 years.

It won't be going back in the same place, it's a new manifold. Get new gaskets, the price sounds OK to me.

I don't remember what I've paid for them in the past. They might be reuseable, but I wouldn't reuse your 10 million milers though.

Go to O'Reilley's. Got an entire set for like $6-8 bucks. Comes in a Felpro box, and there is one bar code they scan. I think it is supposed to be $6 a piece, but I didnt say anything.
