Need help on clearing my 33x14.50's!!!
So I ordered a 3in. body lift from Performance Accessories and come to find out I open the box and the very first thing I read says "NOT FOR DIESEL TRUCKS".... what a bummer. Anyways I was wondering if anyone has put "helper springs" on their trucks? I really don't want to spend the $400+ on a suspension lift. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Haha yeah I hope they wouldn't... actually I thought the same thing about the intercooler, but when I called the tech manager said that the fuel lines won't let it along with the brake lines. I'm not sure exactly why the brake lines would be different, but I guess thats why they make the big bucks!
I don't see what the difference between a gasser and a diesel is when it comes to body lift. You going to have little clearance issues either way. You just have to think your way out of it.
IMO a body lift is a body lift. Truck, van, car, gas, diesel, 2wd, 4wd, I really don't think it matters. The lines are routed the same on gas and diesel truck so I would think that it will work for you, either way you will need to do some modification to get it in. Plus you already have it so just go for it.
