So mine is the base model, no a/c, pwr windows, nothing...but it's all good...I love this truck, only having owned it for a few weeks now...1400 miles on it and averaging in the 24mpg range. The plan is to keep this truck because it's in excellent condition and got a great deal on it. The dash, however, is broken multiple places inside and jiggles around a bit...took it apart to put stereo in and noticed many mounting ears broken off. What I'm thinking of doing is replacing the dash with one out of a truck with a/c, then piecing together all the parts and making it as if it had a/c from the factory. I've searched a few bone yards around here, and they don't have anything...plan on searching the net, but I figured I'd post here first...thanks in advance for the help!

Brian.. This Dash design goes back to the Early 80's ..There should be a wrecking yard somewhere near you with one.. good luck..

It's 309 bucks new here and after looking through Car-parts.com and all the local junkyards with zero luck it was better for me to get it new here...I just installed mine and I had to pull the windshield to replace it...

Last I knew you could still get aftermarket A/C for the 1st gens. Check with JCWhitney, I saw it listed in their catalog last summer.
