my truck engine has been possesed by 3208

my truck engine has been possesed by 3208
After setting a day or 2, on intial startup I'm getting a large cloud of smoke and a bit of a miss, takes about 30 seconds to clear out. I think someone swapped in a 3208 cat while I wasn't looking! Anyone know what causes this ?

If they did it should kinda yellow in color and fat as a hog.


leaky injector ?

My truck missed and smoked a little bit after sitting for 4 weeks. I had a case skid steer that started doing that and it was a hole in the fuel filter. It eventually got so bad that it wouldn't run though.

I think you are losing prime. Fuel problem.
I would say check all fuel lines very close.

Yep, you gotta watch out for those imitation diesels. The will swap places with a real diesel in a New York minute.
