motor mount differences???

Are the metal motor mount stands the same for a 2wd as a 4wd? I've got a 95 P-pump motor I'm thinking of putting in my 85 w350 crew and need to figure which mounts to use. I've searched the inter webs and have not come up with an answer.

Stands? The mounts to the frame are all the same, just a piece of metal with rubber in between and two bolts extruding. If you're talking about a engine stand, I don't know

If you are talking about the U shaped part between the plate that bolted to the side of the block and the motor mount. they are the same between 2WD and 4WD. But the right one is shorter than the left. The reason I know is I made my own crossmember and it takes two right side parts. I can take som pictures if it will help.

They do change from 93-94 with the truck style. You will need 1st gen mounts for it to bolt in to your rig with no extra work. Your 95 cummins will have different mounts on the engine.

Are the plates that bolt to the engine interchangeable? they look like they are. that would make it easy.

Yes. From what I have seen, the mounting assemblies (attached to engine) interchange to allow swapping between gens.

Glad they are the same because I found a 93 2wd for parts. May try to put the 2nd gen mounts in later, they look a lot stronger.
