i finally got it driving. im just going to share the shifter between my 2 trucks for now until i get another shifter. anyways, if i put my truck in 1st or 2nd, i am able to bring my shift lever back into the nuetral position while it is still in gear. if i do it wrong, the shifter gets stuck there. i pulled the to cover and besides wear on the forks, everything looks fine. I am guessing that my forks are to blame. Can anyone tell me how thick they should be, or how to tell if they are unservicable?
